Early morning Ringgold fire ruled arson

RINGGOLD, Georgia (WDEF) – Investigators with the Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner have ruled an early morning fire in Catoosa County.

It happened after 4AM at 37 Mark Lane in Ringgold at a vacant residence.

Catoosa County firefighters say it started in the kitchen area.

The house was a total loss.

Instigators believe a flammable liquid was used to start the fire.

The Insurance and Safety Fie Commissioner is asking anyone with information on the fire to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-282-5804.

The state will give rewards of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an arsonist.

Calls are taken 24 hours a day and you can remain anonymous.
