Chattanooga Christian School President Ice Bucket Challenge

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) Another local person took the ice bucket challenge Tuesday.

The President of the Chattanooga Christian School got doused with ice water.

He let two second graders do the honors.

The ice bucket challenge is trending on social media around the nation.

It’s to raise money and awareness for ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.

So far it’s raised more than 13 million dollars.

President Chad Dirkse says, "This is, just like across the country, to raise awareness for ALS research and to support people who are struggling to fight this awful disease."

Host of CBS’s Face the Nation Bob Schieffer also took the ice bucket challenge.
