Mocs Kick Off Spring Football Practice on Saturday Morning

Chattanooga-(WDE-TV) It feels like spring time so why not start spring football practice.
The Mocs kick off spring drills Saturday morning at ten o’clock at Scrappy Moore Field.
UTC is coming off a 3-8 record during Tom Arth’s first season as the Mocs head coach.
Chattanooga had a hard time keeping their quarterbacks healthy last season.
As a result, they finished 8th in the SoCon in scoring offense, so there’s plenty of work to do on offense this spring.
Said Arth:”Number one, controlling the line of scrimmage. I think that’s where it starts for us on offense. We have got to be able to run the ball more effectively. If we can run the ball more effectively, we’ll be a much better offense. We need to protect the quarterback and that doesn’t just fall on the offensive line. That is as much a responsibility on the quarterback to get that done as it is on the guys upfront.”
