Central Michigan Scores 20 Unanswered Points to Beat Mocs 20-16

Central Michigan rallied from a 16-0 deficit to beat Chattanooga 20-16 in the season opener for both teams on Thursday night in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Mocs quarterback Jacob Huesman threw an 8-yard touchdown pass to Tommy Hudson in the second quarter to make it 10-0 Chattanooga. Moments later, Huesman dumped a pass off to Hudson, and he raced 70-yards down the sidelines for a touchdown to make it 16-0. Those were Hudson’s only two receptions of the game. Central Michigan scored a touchdown before halftime to make it 16-7 at the break. The Chippewas then added two more touchdowns in the third quarter to get the 20-16 victory. Jacob Huesman was intercepted four times on the night, and UTC managed just 106 yards rushing. Chattanooga will now host Jacksonville State on September 6th.
