Man charged in South Pittsburg homicide

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tennessee (WDEF) – A South Pittsburg man is behind bars, accused of a homicide early Monday morning.

21 year old Kordell Griffin is being charged with criminal homicide, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says Marion County dispatchers were called shortly after five Monday morning, that Buford Reyna, Jr. was found dead at a home on Chance Road in South Pittsburg.

T-B-I agents say Griffin knew the victim, and they developed information, identifying Griffin as the person responsible for Reyna’s death.

Griffin is now being held in the Marion County Jail without bond.
