Lamont Paris hired as New Mocs Head Coach

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) -After losing Head Coach Matt McCall to UMass last week. The Chattanooga Mocs have hired Wisconsin Associate Head Coach Lamont Paris as their new men’s basketball head coach.

Paris comes highly recommended by Texas head coach Shaka Smart. Paris interviewed with UTC after Will Wade left but was passed over for the position when the Mocs selected Matt McCall for the job.

Lamont Paris, has a lengthy coaching resume he has been an assistant for over 20 years. Spending time at Wisconsin, Akron, Indiana Univ-Pennsylvania, Depauw, and Wooster.
