Woman charged with 2nd degree murder in overdose death

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A 37-year old woman faces second degree murder charges after an overdose death in 2017.

Sabrena Lynn Laquatra is now in custody.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office says the charge comes from the June 2017 overdose death of Tyler Hillian.

The overdose happened on Lakeshore Drive, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Medical Examiner’s Report says Hillian died from a lethal amount of Fentanyl in his system.

Investigators say Laquatra provided the victim with the illegal drugs.
