Investigators arrest arson suspect from yesterday’s apartment fire

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The suspect in an  apartment fire arson was arrested Thursday morning.

31 year old Jimmy Lebron Hill Jr. was taken into custody by fire investigators and Chattanooga Police.

He is charged with aggravated arson for the fire on Wednesday at the Golden Gateway Apartments on Grove Street.

The building was evacuated, but no one was hurt.

Fire investigators got several key tips after posting a photo of Hill.

“We greatly appreciate the relationship we have with the community and the assistance they were able to provide us in this case, leading to this major development with an arrest,” said Chattanooga Fire Chief Phil Hyman.
