Riverbend books more rap, rock and rising country headliners
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – The Riverbend Festival has finalized their headliner lineup for this summer.
Here are the final pieces:
Country singer Dustin Lynch plays a Wednesday night show on June 13th, taking the Coke Stage at 9:30.
The Tullahoma native has done a lot in his five year recording career.
3 albums, 5 #1 hits, 4 music award nominations.
Flo Rida plays the late show on the Coke Stage on Thursday, June 14th.
The Florida rapper made his debut in 2008 with the #1 hit Low.
Since then, he has sold more than 80 million records worldwide, scoring hits like “Right Round,” “Club Can’t Handle Me,” “Good Feeling,” “Wild Ones,” “My House,” and landing a best album Grammy nomination for The Fame in 2010.
Reality show star and occasional rocker Bret Michaels will close the Festival on Saturday, June 16th.
Michaels won Celebrity Apprentice and had his own show Rock of Love.
He also was the lead singer for the Pop/Metal band Poison and is continuing now as a solo act.
The Wallflowers headline on the first Saturday at Riverbend on June 9th.
Jakob Dylan, son of Bob Dylan, formed the band in 1989.
Their second album “Bringing Down The Horse” included the hit singles “One Headlight”, “6th Avenue Heartache”, “Three Marlenas” and “The Difference”.
Country singer Cam will play on the Bud Light Stage on Sunday, June 10th .
She began her career writing songs for artists including Miley Cyrus.
But her own recording of “Burning House” landed her a Platinum hit, along with Grammy, CMA and ACM nominations.
Chattanooga native Kelley Lovelace will also play Riverbend with fellow songwriter Rivers Rutherford on Sunday, June 10th at the TVCU stage.
He has written dozens of hits for artists like Brad Paisley (Online), Carrie Underwood (All-American Girl), Jason Aldean ( Laughed Until We Cried ) and Joe Nichols (What’s A Guy Gotta Do).
The Cleverlys will play the TVFCU State on Saturday June 16th at 7:45 PM.
The family bluegrass band from Arkansas has their tongues planted firmly in cheek.
