Mocs Brooke Parrott SoCon Pitcher of the Week After Throwing Perfect Game

(gomocs.com) SPARTANBURG – After picking up two wins, pitching a perfect game and racking up two saves last weekend at the Chattanooga Challenge, Chattanooga softball’s Brooke Parrott was named the Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week. The league office announced the accolade on Monday afternoon.

Parrott started two games and went the distance in both of them, combining for 14 innings and allowed two runs on five hits and nine strikeouts in those two wins. Her historic start came against Radford where she set down all 21 batters she faced on just 78 pitches (56 strikes) en route to Chattanooga’s first perfect game since 2002.

On Sunday, Parrott came into the circle in relief in both contests, garnering two saves. She pitched five shutout innings between the two appearances, struck out two, allowed two walks and five hits.

In her four total appearances, Parrott combined to hold a 0.74 earned run average in 19 innings of work. Her perfect game was the first in two decades and the first no hitter for a Moc since 2010.

This is the second SoCon weekly accolade of Parrott’s career after earning Pitcher of the Week honors in 2021.
