Gordon Lee Baseball Sweeps Clinch Co in Second Round of the State Playoffs

Chickamauga, GA-(WDEF-TV) The Gordon Lee baseball team opened play in the state tournament on Monday after earning a first round bye. The Trojans took on Clinch Co in the second round in Chickamauga, and Gordon earned a sweep to advance to the Elite Eight.

Gordon Lee won the first game 10-0 in five innings.  The Trojans scored three runs in the first inning.  Chris Potter had a two RBI base hit up the middle to make it 2-0. That was followed by an RBI single to left by J.D. Day. Trojans added four runs in the second inning to go up 7-0 on their way to the 10-0 victory. Gordon Lee then took game two 9-0.
