Chattanooga Police investigating Kemp Drive shooting
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Kemp Drive.
It happened Monday evening around 8 p.m.
Police say they were called to Walker Street concerning a gunshot victim; however, the victim and a witness told officers the shooting took place on Kemp Drive.
According to Chattanooga Police, the 24-year-old Terrence Poe told investigators he was driving down Kemp Drive when he saw an unknown male shooting at him.
Police say the victim continued drove away after he realized he was shot.
Poe was taken by ambulance to a local hospital, according to police.
Chattanooga Police say the witness, a passenger in Poe’s vehicle, was not injured.
The Violent Crimes Bureau is investigating.
