Preliminary Hearing for Ringgold Murder Suspect
RINGGOLD, GA (WDEF-TV) –The woman accused of the brutal murder of a mother of three in Catoosa county has made her first appearance before a judge.
Thirty seven year old Catherine Goins of Hixson, had a preliminary hearing Thursday afternoon.
Magistrate judge David Gass of Ringgold conducted the hearing by way of video conferencing with Goins at the county jail.
She is charged with the shooting death of 30 year old Natalia Roberts at a Ringgold residence last week.

MAGISTRATE DAVID GASS, CATOOSA COUNTY, GA
"…said accused did on the 19th day of September, 2014…place of occurance 227 Smoketree Circle, Ringgold, Georgia…did commit the offence of malice murder did with malice aforethought cause the death of Natalia Brianne Roberts by shooting her in the head. "
The magistrate denied bond for Goins, who investigators say killed the LaFayette woman to take her 3 week old baby.
She will be represented by public defender David Dunn.
