Lookouts Turn Back Smokies With 6-2 Victory

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Chattanooga Lookouts beat Tennessee 6-2 on Monday night at AT&T Field. Edgar Corcino gave the Lookouts the early lead with a lead-off homer in the bottom of the second to make it 1-0. Tennessee took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth on a two-run homer from Trey Martin. Lookouts fired back in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run homer from Lamonte Wade to make it 3-2 Chattanooga. Lookouts got some insurance in the bottom of the seventh on a two-out double into the left field corner from Brent Rooker. That scored two runs to make it 5-2. Corcino added an RBI single in the 8th to make the final 6-2. Nick Gordon was 2-4 on the night for Chattanooga. He’s batting .350 on the year.
