Lookouts Continue Dominant Home Stand With 11-3 Win Over Tennessee
Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) The Chattanooga Lookouts whipped up on the Tennessee Smokies Tuesday night winning 11-3. The Lookouts improved to 8-1 on their current ten game home stand. Tuesday’s game was scoreless until the fifth when Chattanooga broke through with four runs. Brent Rooker got the scoring party started with an RBI single to center. Zander Wiel later batted in the inning with the bases loaded, and he drove in two runs with a single to left to make it 3-0. The Smokies changed pitchers and Edgar Corcino belted the first pitch he saw from reliever James Norwood off the wall in right to score another run.
The Lookouts offense continued to pile up the runs on their way to the 11-3 victory. Brent Rooker was 3 for 4 on the night with 4 RBI’s. The Lookouts Chris Paul also added a two-run homer in the victory.
Chattanooga will finish up the ten game home stand at 11:15am on Wednesday against the Smokies.
