East Ridge Housing and Redevelopment Authority dissolves itself

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – The East Ridge Housing and Redevelopment Authority is officially no longer.

The authority commission met for the last time Thursday night.

On their agenda was a resolution to dissolve the authority.

This came ten days after the East Ridge City Council voted to dissolve it.

The authority received a lot of push back from residents who feared the group’s redevelopment plan would take away their homes.

The commission meeting didn’t take long and residents seemed rather happy that the authority voted to dissolve itself.
