Announcements for the National Cornbread Festival, Wanderling Festival, Red Bank Jubilee & Rock the Smokies
SOUTH PITTSBURG, CHATTANOOGA, RED BANK & PIGEON FORGE (WDEF) – The post-Easter festival boom is gathering steam, promising lots of music, beer and moon pies in the coming weeks.
Here is a rundown of some festival announcements:
NATIONAL CORNBREAD FESTIVAL
The National Cornbread Festival is announcing their music acts for the South Pittsburg event.
Rhonda Vincent is returning to headline on Sunday, April 24th
Featured artists on Saturday (April 23) are Tik Tok country sensation Hanner Dasher and Ben Haggard, son of Hall-of-Famer Merle Haggard.
And here are your Cornbread Alley chefs this year.
WANDERLINGER MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL
Wanerlinger Brewing is returning with their second festival May 13-15.
They’re promising a bigger event this time after last year’s success.
But they limit attendance to 1000 people per day.
ROCK THE SMOKIES
Dollywood is announcing the lineup of their Rock the Smokies concert on Saturday August 27.
The show is returning for the first time since 2019.
The festival books contemporary Christian artists headlined this year by TobyMac and the Newsboys.
Tickets go on sale next week.
RED BANK JUBILEE
The Red Bank Jubilee is returning for their first 41st edition on Saturday, May 7th.
It’s a family and dog friendly event at the City Park from 11 AM til 4PM.
But it kicks off much earlier with the MoonPie® Move Run.
The 5k race is a nice, flat run, but the 10K challenge goes up to White Oak Park.
Finishers will get MoonPies, coffee and MoonPie Stout Beer
Live music will be performed throughout the day featuring bands such as Slim Pickins Bluegrass Band, Drive Train Southern Rock Band, The Molly Maguires, and In The Company of Wolves.
And there will be food truck and local brewers.
