Fatal shooting at I 24 rest stop in Nickajack Lake

MARION COUNTY, Tennessee (WDEF) – Jasper Police have made an arrest in a deadly shooting tonight on Nickajack Lake.

It happened around 7PM at the eastbound rest stop on I 24.

That rest stop is actually an island in the middle of the lake with picnic and camping facilities, which is usually quite busy on a holiday weekend.

Officials confirm that one person is dead from the shooting.

And they arrested a suspect at the scene.
