Spring City wins Dog Park grant
SPRING CITY, Tennessee (WDEF) – The Town of Spring City has landed their dog park.
A few months ago, they recruited everyone in town to post dog photos for the @DogParkDash.
And it paid off.
On Thursday, they found out that the Boyd Foundation was granting the city $25,000 to build a dog park.
It is a full grant, so the city will not have to match it.
City leaders say they’ve had a dog park on their long range master plan for several years and this is a big step to getting there.
Tomorrow's the day! The deadline to apply for the Tennessee Dog Park Dash grant is now. Dozens of communities are dashing toward a new dog park. To find out how you can get involved in the #dogparkdash before it's too late, visit https://t.co/eFcz9gUWLa. pic.twitter.com/0lHDZdUeU6
