Teen Killed in Traffic Accident

Available Details:

At approximately 7:05 a.m. this morning, the Chattanooga Police Department responded to 1400 Lower Mill Road for a single vehicle traffic crash.

•The vehicle, occupied by a white female and a white male, was traveling east on Lower Mill Road.
•The driver lost control of the vehicle which struck a tree just off of the roadway.
•The driver (16 years of age) and the passenger (15 years of age) were both transported to a local hospital by HCEMS for serious injuries.
•The driver is currently in critical condition.
•The passenger later succumbed to his injuries and did pass away.
•The identity of the occupants will not be released due to them being minors.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
