Georgia man charged with forging faxed prescription

The pharmacy on Sand Mountain immediately called police

RAINSVILLE, Alabama (WDEF) – Georgia authorities have made an arrest in a different kind of drug case.

Investigators say Dawson Brown from Stone Mountain faxed a prescription to a drug shore in Rainsville, Alabama.

But the prescription for the controlled substance was forged.

Rainsville Drugs immediately called local police when they got the fax.

Rainsville Police had the pharmacy contact Brown and tell him his prescription was ready.

When he showed up to pick it up, officers were there to greet him.

He faces both forgery and drug charges.
