Chattanooga Students Participate in Turkey Train

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WDEF) – Choo Choo!  Dozens of Chattanooga students joined the turkey train Friday morning.

Students and faculty members at Girls Preparatory School dressed up in holiday-themed costumes.

Then, they formed a long line, and passed turkeys down it until they reached the Chattanooga Area Food Bank truck.

They also collected canned goods as well.

Rachel Raisin, a GPS Student, says, "I think in the future it would be really cool to have all the schools in Chattanooga participating in the Turkey Train.

MacKenzie Hobbs, another GPS Student, adds, "And the food bank really impacts a lot of families during Thanksgiving, especially during the Thanksgiving time because it makes families feel like they, who usually wouldn’t be able to, feel like they can be a part of the Thanksgiving holiday."

This was their 3rd annual turkey train.
