Shooting victim suffered critical injuries downtown

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Just after midnight, police responded a shots fired call in downtown Chattanooga.

An officer was in the area and heard the shots in the 100 block of East 19th street, just a few blocks off of Market Street.

She found 29 year old Demontez Russell suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
