A.D. Crutcher a Great Spark For Red Bank

Red Bank, TN-(WDEEF-TV) If you go to a Red Bank game you are going to hear the name A-D Crutcher time and time again

The star senior is a defensive force at linebacker or safety and also leads the team in rushing

News 12’s Brian Armstrong speaks with Crutcher and his coach about how he is able to fill up the stat sheet and how he is leaving a legacy.

Said Crutcher:”Coaching up the young guys as the main thing I’ve been focusing on is helping out the youngest. Feeling an hour to them making sure they know what to do as I’m gone.”

Red Banks A.D. Crutcher is seemingly all over the field and in turn all over the stat sheet.

Said head coach Ted Gatewood:”80 is so valuable he provides us a great spark running back, great spark a wide receiver. Provides great spark at linebacker and safety. He play special teams.”

Said Crutcher:”I don’t look at a special way I’m just like everybody else., No different just a more popular name I guess, here at Moore.”

In Red Bank’s game against Soddy Daisy he lead the team in rushing and receiving. 9 rushes for 106 yards and 1 TD plus 60 yar

ds receiving and a score. That receiving TD was special for Crutcher.

Said Crutcher:”I did a nice little spin move I liked it. My moves up moving around my moves on the field.”

Coach Gatewood says the success on the field comes from all of his hard work and effort when no one is watching.

Said Gatewood:”He’s a talented young man. He put in the work he’s been putting in the work since last year, since last season so it’s coming to fruition.”

Coach Gatewood says the coaching staff is the reason why you don’t see Crutcher even more than you already do.

Said Gatewood:”He wants to be on the field. He loves the game and he wants to play if he can play every snap he probably would, but we don’t let them.”

Added Crutcher:”I love the game of football that’s all I do just love it.”
