A “Sculptacular” night with a Broadway star!

The Scuplture Fields are teaming up with two esteemed schools to bring special music to the Scenic City featuring a Broadway star! Jay Heavilon with Sculpture Fields brings choir directors Emily Tousek (GPS) and James Harr (McCallie) to preview the event Saturday.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A Broadway star is coming to the Scenic City for the Sculpture Fields “Sculptacular Gala” and is teaming up with choir students from GPS and McCallie with a custom score and song list.

The annual Sculpture Fields fundraiser, “Sculptacular,” is bringing accomplished accomplished Broadway singer Stephanie Waters (Les Misérables) to the Scenic City to perform an original song on the story of Sculpture Fields.

Stephanie Waters came up with the event as she was friends with John Henry, the founder of the park, and she wanted to be able to give back to the community through a show. The event is bringing local students from GPS and McCallie to back her up in the performance. The event will also have a live and silent auction to help benefit the park.

On having student involvement with the event, GPS Choir Director Emily Tousek says, “We really want to share our talents with the community. That’s something both of our schools really emphasize. It’s a great experience for them, they’re getting real life experience performing with an artist and also getting to see some philanthropic work at play.”

The special cabaret style performance will be in Ruby Hall at The Common House on April 26 at 5:30 P.M. The event is ticketed.
