Additional arrest made in connection to Sale Creek SWAT standoff

BLEDSOE COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A second arrest has been made in connection to the SWAT standoff in Sale Creek Friday.

Kenneth Lee Kizzar was arrested by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Criminal Warrants Unit at a residence on Pitts Gap Road in Bledsoe County on Monday February 24, 2025.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Accessory After the Fact for Kizzar.

On Friday, February 21, 2025, HCSO personnel attempted to serve a high-risk warrant on Robert Drayton Bowen in Sale Creek a residence near the 15000 block of Highway 27.

According to HCSO, the attempt led to an eight hour SWAT standoff.

Bowen was eventually taken into custody, and is being charged with the following:

  • Aggravated Assault (2 counts)
  • Felony Reckless Endangerment (2 counts)
  • Felon in Possession of a Weapon (2 counts)
