Adore Me lingerie line settles with Tennessee over VIP Membership Program

NASHVILLE (WDEF) – Tennessee’s Attorney General announces a settlement with an online lingerie company for their membership program.

The state will receive $2.35 million from Adore Me, Inc.

The online retailer offered consumers discounts for signing up for their VIP Membership Program.

But once you are in, they charge you $39.94 a month if you don’t buy something or log into your account to hit the “skip” button for the charge.

They apply the charge to your account for store credits.

The settlement says that Adore Me did not properly explain how that works, or that their discounts are temporary and how hard they made it to get out of the VIP Memberships or that you can get refunds for the fees.

32 states have now settled with the company.
