The report stated that Vega was speeding along Frazier Avenue in a Dodge Caravan and hit the right-side front bumper of a Nissan. He lost control and hit three pedestrians. He then crashed into a building.

According to the affidavit, Vega attempted to fist fight first responders who were trying to help the victims. They reported that he was showing aggressive behavior.

The driver of the second vehicle told police that Vega was driving aggressively prior to the crash as well.

The crash killed one woman and a one-year-old child, and it injured one man. The three were standing on a sidewalk at the corner of Frazier Avenue.

Responders took Vega and the male pedestrian to a hospital.

Vega was finally released and booked into the Hamilton County Jail on Wednesday, November 29.

The affidavit explained that the area of the crash is densely packed with many pedestrians and parked cars. The speed limit in that area is only 30 miles per hour.

Authorities booked Vega on a $50,000 bond, according to the affidavit.

He is scheduled to appear in court on December 5.
