After months of debating about debates, Sen. Warnock & Herschel Walker finally have a deal

SAVANNAH, Georgia (WDEF) – The candidates for one of Georgia’s seat in the U.S. Senate have finally agreed to meet each other in a debate.

Sen. Raphael Warnock and challenger Herschel Walker have been sparring over the details and location for months.

But Senator Warnock accepted Walker’s latest proposal Tuesday night.

They will meet in Savannah on October 14th.

WSAV-TV, owned by Nexstar Media Group, will host it and the debate will feature a live audience.

The Senator is challenging Walker to a second debate in either Macon or Atlanta, but the Republican has not accepted that yet.

The agreement comes as the latest round of polling shows the race is getting tighter and is still, very much, up for grabs.
