Alabama implements new clear bag policy at home games
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – The University of Alabama will enforce a new clear bag policy in an effort to expedite entry into home football games at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Al.com reports that the policy will be implemented this year to also help public safety. It will starts at the Crimson Tide’s home game against Western Kentucky on Saturday.
University officials say fans can bring in one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags. The only non-clear plastic bags that can be brought into the stadium is a small clutch purse no longer than 4 ½ inches by 6 ½ inches.
If any bag is larger, it must be clear and plastic. A complementary clear gallon-sized freezer bags will be available at the guest services locations outside the stadium.
Several schools, including Auburn, will implement the policy in 2016.
