DADE COUNTY, Ga. (WDEF) — A police chase started in Alabama and ended in Georgia Wednesday morning.

Authorities set up spike strips near Edgewood Baptist Church in Trenton. The spike strips hit all four tires of the suspect’s car, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies said they then stopped the vehicle at JBs Variety Store. They took the suspect into custody.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect has multiple felony charges pending from both DeKalb and Dade County.

However, they did not release the identity of the suspect or what those charges would be.

“This is just another example of the amazing and productive relationship we have with numerous surrounding agencies. They know they can count on us, we know that we can count on them, and the criminals know that we mean business in Dade County!” Sheriff Ray Cross said. “We will continue to work as hard as we can to get the criminals and drugs off our streets and out of our community!”
