Alabama Sales Tax Holiday happening July 19-21

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WDEF) — Alabama’s sales tax holiday is coming up next weekend in preparation of the 2024-2025 school year.

The state’s 19th annual sales tax holiday will take place Friday, July 19 through Sunday, July 21, 2024.

During this weekend, shoppers can purchase school supplies, books and clothes without any sales tax.

Tax-free clothing items must be $100 or less, school supplies must be $50 or less and computers must be priced at $750 or less.
