Alzheimer’s facility nurse arrested for abuse of patient

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) —  A worker at an Alzheimer’s facility in Chattanooga has been charged with Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult.

Gary Crownover was a nurse who was giving a 90 year old male a shower.

Another nurse said the man hit Crownover in the face and knocked off his glasses.

The witness told police that Crownover got mad and dumped the man out of a chair.

He then hit and slapped the man several times.

The victim suffered cuts, but was otherwise okay.

The facility suspended Crownover immediately before his arrest.
