Amnicola traffic crash causes 52-year-old woman to lose her life

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — On Thursday a little before 2:00 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a fatal traffic crash on Amnicola Highway.

When officers arrived, they found a 52-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries.

CFD and HCEMS responded to the scene.

The woman died at the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates the woman was driving south on Amnicola Highway when she crossed over the centerline into the northbound lanes.

Her vehicle struck two other vehicles, one of which was a semi truck.

Investigators are working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding this incident.

The traffic crash occurred in the 4300 block of Amnicola Highway on December 7.
