Annual Halloween block party in Cleveland

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Hundreds of people gathered together to enjoy the 37th annual Mainstreet Downtown Halloween Block Party that took place in Cleveland this year. The town of Cleveland was transformed into its very own Halloween town with decorations of all sorts.

The night, which not only included live music, great food, and a plethora of activities, also gave people of all ages the opportunity to come dressed in their best costumes. Treat Street, where the party was held, was a highlight of the evening where kids and adults were able to fill their bags full of candy.

With the Mars Wrigley factory in Cleveland being the only place in the United States that makes peanut butter M&Ms, their contribution to the event was enjoyed by all ages. The Mars Wrigley Factory generously donates thousands of dollars in candy to this event.

Along with the candy, vendors completed the festival atmosphere with all types of foods including chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, funnel cakes, treats for the kids, a variety of games, and so much more.

Towards the end of the night, the live band Entice took the main stage to perform some of your favorite throwbacks ranging from the 70s all the way to the 2020s.

As this year’s Halloween traditions come to an end and everyone heads home from their night’s activities with a bag full of candy, we may find ourselves reminiscing on our past Halloweens from when we were growing up.

From everyone here at WDEF, we hope your Halloween was both fun and spooky.
