Can you identify the latest suspect?

DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Dalton Police are investigating another identity theft case involving a Florida victim.

This time, a man used stolen information from the Florida victim to try to withdraw money at the Truist bank branch on Glenwood Avenue in October.  He had a fake I-D for the victim, plus his account numbers and social security number.

He was trying to withdraw $4,000 from an account in Jupiter, Florida.

The bank called the person in Florida to confirm, and found it wasn’t him. So they rejected the withdrawal.

But the victim wasn’t so lucky a month later.

Even though he had closed the account and opened a new one with different numbers, a bank did withdraw $4,000 in Pennsylvania.
