Another gunmaker moves south; Remington to Georgia

LAGRANGE, Georgia (WDEF) – The oldest gunmaker in the country is moving their global headquarters out of New York and into Georgia.
Remington Firearms is moving their HQ from upstate New York to a new facility in LaGrange.
They also will build a factory and research facility there.
The move should bring 856 new jobs to the Atlanta area over the next five years.
Remington Firearms was founded in 1816 and is one of the largest producers of shotguns and rifles in the U.S.
