On November 9, U.S. District Judge Travis McDonough sentenced 32-year-old Rodney Harris to 60 months in prison. He will then be on supervised release for three years.

On June 7, 2023, Harris pled guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Court records show that Harris was wearing a mask and in possession of an AR-pistol prior to the shooting on McCallie Avenue.

During the incident, Harris got shot 17 times and run over by a car, according to the Department of Justice.

Various law enforcement agencies assisted in this investigation, which resulted in the indictment.

The shooting happened on June 5, 2022.
