Another Shooting in Chattanooga Just Before Midnight On Tuesday

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The 10th shooting in four days happened just before midnight Tuesday night.

Police received a 9-1-1 call to 2504 East 3rd Street after 22-year-old Diaz Darden said he was in his backyard and heard gunshots.

He said he went inside the house and saw he was shot in the hand.

Moments after police arrived on scene, they were able to name a person of interest and take them into custody. Scanner traffic said that the man they detained was known to carry a 48 handgun.

Major Crimes raided a house in the 2000 block of Ivy Street; the same area where police were told the gunman was last seen running.
