Armed robbery takes place at Heiss Mountain Road convenience store
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — Hamilton County deputies are investigating after an armed robbery took place at a convenience store on Wednesday.
It happened on September 27 just before 10 p.m. at the Spirit Convenience Store, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO). The store is located at 1870 Heiss Mountain Road, near Highway 111.
According to deputies, a man dressed in all black came into the store and pulled a handgun on the three employees. He was wearing a hoodie and ski mask at the time.
The suspect then went behind the counter and made a worker empty the cash register into a black plastic bag. Then, he left the store, deputies said.
HCSO detectives have received video footage of the robbery. They are currently investigating.
