Arrest made in Cowart Street homicide
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga Police say a man is in custody for the homicide on Cowart Street that happened over the weekend.
Roddarius Martin, 24, is charged with Criminal homicide, attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and felony reckless endangerment.
Martin is accused of killing Sharone Porter and injuring his brother Torrie Porter in a parking lot across from Coyote Jack’s. Police say they believe an altercation took place at the establishment and it ended with the shooting in the parking lot.
This is Chattanooga’s 32nd homicide of 2017.
Coyote Jack’s issued the following statement about the homicide. They say they have a strict security process and that would make it hard for someone to bring in a weapon.
