Astec Industries celebrates Astec Community Connect Day
CHATTANOGA, Tenn. — Astec Industries has shared they celebrated its inaugural Astec Community Connect Day on Wednesday, February 11.
They say more than 200 Astec volunteers dedicated their time to a range of community partners, including Ronald McDonald House, Chattanooga Health and Rehab Center, Chattanooga Area Food Bank’s main warehouse and Foxwood Food Center locations and Friends of the Troops.
Teams spent the day cleaning facilities, assembling care packages, organizing food donations, and engaging directly with residents and families served by these organizations, according to Astec Industries.
“Astec’s purpose is Built to Connect. Today, our people demonstrated what it means to connect with our community, our partners, and each other in ways that strengthen our community. I’m incredibly proud of the generosity, spirit, and commitment they brought to our first Community Connect Day.”
– Aletheia Silcott, Chief Human Resources Officer of Astec Industries said.
