Athens Drive By Shooting Suspect in Custody

ATHENS, Tenn. — A person is in custody following a drive by shooting incident in Athens on December 14.

Officers with the Athens Police Department (APD) responded to Lynn Avenue after a report of a domestic incident between multiple individuals on December 13.

Skylar Farrar was subsequently taken into custody.

Farrar was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and retaliation for past actions, according to the APD.

On December 14, officers were called back to Lynn Avenue after a report of shots fired.

Officers learned a suspect driving a white Chrysler PT cruiser fired shots toward the residence.

The suspect was later identified as Robert Gaston.

A weapon believed to be used in the shooting was recovered from his residence, according to APD.

Gaston is charged with Tampering with Evidence and Resisting Arrest.

More charges are pending.

No one was injured during the shooting incident.
