ATHENS, Tenn. (WDEF) —  The Athens Fire Department (AFD) responded to a structure fire at the UPS facility late last night.

Crews were dispatched to the facility at 200 Lawn Drive at 11:53 p.m. December 3, 2024.

Upon arrival, crews found the structure fully involved with heavy smoke visible.

According to AFD, flames were visible from all corners of the building.

The UPS facility and approximately 24 trucks suffered significant damage.

AFD reported two employees were in the building at the time of the fire, but were able to escape without injury.
