Athens upgrades search for missing woman

She has not returned home now for several days after a fight and needs medication

Missing In Athens

ATHENS, Tennessee (WDEF) – Athens police are upgrading their search for a missing woman.

63 year old Lee Allen Rose left home after getting in a verbal fight with her daughter on Wednesday.

The daughter called police since it was not a normal thing for her to storm off.

But police only issued a BOLO among other police agencies to watch out for her because of the short amount of time she had been gone.

However, several days later, she still has not returned.

So Fire, Police and Rescue Squad personnel have now searched the area where she was last scene for clues on where she might have gone.

Since she does not have her medication, she could be in an altered mental status.

So Athens officials are now listing her as missing and possibly endangered.
