Atlanta United Take Down CFC 6-0

The CFC were hoping for a miracle upset in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup as they faced Atlanta United of the MLS in Kennesaw, Georgia. Ultimately Atlanta showed why they’re in a higher class of soccer as they took down the Boys in Blue by a final of 6-0. Atlanta’s Ronald Hernandez got the first goal of the match in the 21st minute. Four minutes later and Dom Dwyer scored on a wicked header to make it 2-0. Dwyer then used his legs to put one in back of the net before halftime to make it 3-0. Atlanta got three more goals in the second half to win it 6-0. They are the reigning U.S. Open Cup Champions.
