Austin Peay Introduces Will Healy as New Head Football Coach

Will Healy’s Christmas gift came a few days early. Today the long-time Mocs football assistant was introduced as the new head coach at Austin Peay.

It marks the first head coaching job for the 30-year-old Healy.
He’ll try to turn around a program that has just one win in the last three years.
Healy played quarterback in high school at Boyd Buchanan, and he spent seven years on the Mocs coaching staff. So he admits it was tough saying good-bye to the Scenic City.

Reporter-"Hard to leave Chattanooga?"
Healy-"Very hard. Great people in Chattanooga. Great program. I’m from there originally. It was very difficult for me to leave. It would take the right opportunity, and this was the perfect opportunity for me. All the stars aligned. Here we are standing here today."
