Bama Trying to Maintain ‘Focus Stamina’

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) – Alabama hasn’t been fazed by a neutral-site game, an overmatched opponent or a quarterback competition that’s still going strong.
The third-ranked Crimson Tide players say they’re not bothered by a one-spot drop in the Top 25 rankings either.
Tight end Brian Vogler says the players don’t pay attention to the polls or what people are saying about the quarterback battle. Coach Nick Saban says he wants his team to have what he calls "focus stamina," just focusing constantly on getting better.
Oregon jumped over Alabama in the poll after a win over No. 13 Michigan State. The Tide had beaten Florida Atlantic 41-0.
Meanwhile, Saban says the quarterback situation hasn’t changed. Presumably that means Blake Sims and Jake Coker will rotate once again Saturday against 47-point underdog Southern Miss.
