Battle Below the Clouds celebrates 10 years of the friendliest grilling competition

President & CEO of Ruby Falls, Hugh Morrow joins News 12’s Chip Chapman as they get ready to celebrate the 10th annual Battle Below the Clouds BBQ fundraiser benefiting Lana’s Love Foundation.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Ruby Falls’ Battle Below the Clouds event reaches a milestone as it returns for its 10th year in a row to benefit Lana’s Love Foundation.

On May 3 from 10 A.M. – 4:30 P.M., Ruby Falls welcomes grillers and BBQ enthusiasts to the friendliest grilling competition in Chattanooga! The free event will feature 15 amateur BBQ teams to sample from and BBQ to purchase from popular restaurants.

There’s free parking to the event and plenty of free family activities. Families can enjoy face painting, caricature artists, and plenty of outdoor games.

There will be giveaways and door prizes at the event which include Atlanta Brave tickets and a Solo Stove Smokeless Firepit.

While admission is free, donations are encouraged as the event is to fundraise for Lana’s Love Foundation started by Jim and Cindy Webster in honor of their late daughter who battled Stage 4 Neuroblastoma for 5 years. The funds will go toward helping Chattanooga area kids battling cancer.
