Baylor Beats MBA 38-34 For First State Title in 49 Years

Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) Baylor beat MBA 38-34 on Thursday night at Finley Stadium to capture their first state title since 1973. Red Raiders fell behind 21-7 in the first half before storming back to tie the game. Amari Jefferson scored on a 48-yard end-around to cut the lead to 21-14. Caleb Hampton answered with a touchdown run on the Red Raiders next possession to tie the game at 21. The two teams combined for nearly 600 yards of offense in the first half as MBA carried a 28-24 lead into halftime. Baylor recovered a fumble in the third quarter, and that helped set up a touchdown.
